Easter 2011

Here is how our Easter went down...

Great time with family.  Hunter enjoyed his Easter lunch... ham, some of a roll, and green beans.

His new moves:

Molly got a Sit & Spin for Easter.  Hunter enjoyed it (don't mind the obnoxious "Weee!").

10 Months

In 2 months we will officially have a toddler.  It is just crazy!  Hunter is really starting to look like a little boy and getting rid of his "baby" face.  Carl and I have been trying to think of what to do for Hunter's 1st birthday.  I think we have it figured out, but we shall see.

At 10 months, Hunter:
-Is standing for longer periods of time unassisted.  He is moving from one object to another while in a stand.  He is doing lots of cruising.
-Loves to put things in buckets and take them back out.  He will either transfer all the items in one bucket/basket to the other and then put them back, or he will put all of the toys he sees into the bucket and then dump it out.
-Walks, assisted.  But if he thinks it is a long distance, he won't put his feet down and instead pulls his legs up so I can put him in a sitting position.  Crawling is his how he wants to get around.
-Is in 12-18 month clothes.  Still in a size 4 diaper.
-Has such a little personality.  He is pushing things away when he doesn't want them, sticking out his tongue so others will do it, yells at people, etc.
-Shaking his head "no" when he doesn't want something as he pushes it away.  Umm... how did he learn this?!
-Approximating words: bye-bye, dog, dad, mom, bunny (although, it still comes out as "dog" most of the time), more (recently this week), and hey.
-Signing "more".  Woohoo!
-Loves to tell you off.  He is very serious when he is telling you what he thinks.  And he really doesn't like it when you laugh while he is having a serious conversation with you.
-Eating lots of table foods.  We try something new all the time.  He loves strawberries; I cannot wait until we go strawberry picking with my sister (like we do every year).  We have also been reintroducing milk-based products.  Our pediatrician recommended we try some foods with milk to see if he still has the allergy.  We have tried the Hawaiian Delight and he eats the yogurt melts.  So far, so good.  No hives.  We haven't been brave enough yet to try the baby yogurt.  That's our next step.

First Sign

Hunter finally signed "more" tonight!  We have been practicing this for months (and others)!  It is very approximated, but it is "more".  He used it multiple times tonight at dinner.  Yay!  So proud!  I love sign language.  Can't wait for him to use more signs!

Easter Egg Hunt

Just a warning... this post will contain a lot of pictures (when do my posts not contain a lot of pictures).

We went to Aunt Kelly's house today (Hunter has a lot of Aunts and "Aunts"... but they are all family in our eyes) for an Easter egg hunt.  Lots of friends came over to play.  Thank you, Kelly, for having us all over!

Here are some pictures of the festivities:

Pictures from Aunt Ash

Soooo... Ashley posted these pictures on her blog, but I had to repost them to mine.  I love her camera (it is the same kind that Kelly has).  I think I will have to start putting money aside for a very nice camera.

Well, one is smiling....

With Devyn (who is almost 30 weeks pregnant in this picture) and sweet Ella

Fun Forest

Hunter and I went to Fun Forest today.  We had never been and it is an awesome park.  We met my sister and her coworkers, Kelly, Emma, Devyn, and Ella there.  Of course, every child wanted to go to a different place in the park.  I didn't get any pictures of Ella playing.  She was jumping on a bouncy bridge yelling, "I bounce! I bounce!"  Too cute!

I can't wait for Hunter to be running around.  He loved sitting on the bouncy bridge and crawling on it.  He loved swinging in the baby swing all by himself.

Emma was everywhere!  Kelly's next little one (due in October) will have a ball of energy to keep up with!

Table Manners

Hunter LOVES to eat.  If you are eating, he wants whatever you have... even if he just finished eating 5 minutes before.  He cracks me up at the table.  Just some fun at the table...

This is his new thing to do at the table.  I'm not sure why he has been putting his face down on his tray like this.

Just goofing off:

He was yelling, "Da! Da! Daaaaaa!"  And then I would ask, "Where's daddy?" and Hunter would ask, "Da?" and look around.  Then I turned on the camera, and got this:

And this is where Koal hangs out at every meal now (since Hunter "accidentally" drops food):
