Hunter

In the early hours of October 8, 2009 I took a pregnancy test.  There was the faintest line making a "+".  I didn't want to get Carl's hopes up unless we were actually pregnant, so on my way to my internship I picked up a digital test and took it.  It read "pregnant"!

We had our usual doctors appointments, heard the heart beat (AMAZING!), got to see our little baby rolling around in my uterus.

At our 20 week ultrasound, the ultrasound tech discovered two Choriod Plexus Cysts on Hunter's brain.  We were referred to EVMS to have a level 2 ultrasound completed.  I struggled a little bit with this.  When we went to EVMS 2 weeks later, one of the cysts had disappeared and the other had reduced in size.  There was no other signs of a chromosomal abnormality, and they did not want to follow up with us.  What a huge relief!

My pregnancy continued on with no other complications (unless you consider elephant feet to be a complication).  Hunter enjoyed his home so much he decided to stay without any signs of making an appearance.  We had a nonstress test performed at 40 weeks and 2 days and scheduled his eviction for the following Tuesday.

Hunter arrived on June 22, 2010 (6 days late).  Carl and I were so in love with this little man at first sight.  It was just amazing.

Hunter has brought us so much joy and we look forward to whatever he has in store for us!  We love watching him grow and learn new things each and every day.
