Last week was spring break.  It was so nice to not have to work and be able to spend so much time with Hunter.  We did something almost every day.  Only 9 more weeks (41 days of kids) until summer... but who's counting?!

Some days, Hunter is obsessed with his hats.  For example, today (the actual today, not the day this was taken) after his bath, he saw his giraffe hat and insisted on wearing it the rest of the night.  The picture above was from a day he told me, "No." to all of his clothes, except his diaper (well, that wasn't really an option) and his monster hat.

I may just spoil this child rotten.  I took him to Target to try to find a pillow case (apparently places don't just sell kid pillow cases?!), but instead ended up buying two dinosaurs.  They were cheaper than the dinosaur night-light he wanted and I had promised him dinosaurs (thinking they sold the pillow case separately).  It was $7 well spent because he has been sleeping with them every night.

Over spring break, we met up with Nichole and her daughter S at the aquarium.  She had fallen down, so Hunter copied her.  She came over to help him up.

Another aquarium day.  I just loved how Hunter was resting his chin on Carl's head.

Just call us rednecks.  We took the ball pit (minus the balls) and filled it with water in the front yard and called it a pool.  Hunter loved it.

I've been slightly obsessed with The Hunger Games.  I read all 3 books in a little over a week.  Carl isn't quite as obsessed as I am.  He finished the first book, but will only read one chapter a night in the second book.  It is driving me bonkers!

This being said, I haven't felt much like blogging (been too busy reading!).  So, here is a picture over load of what we've been up to.

Playing with friends of The Little Gym

Relaxing in Alyssa's seat right after breakfast at Chick-fil-a.

Color matching.

Enjoying a treat before going in for a follow up with his pediatrician.

We changed Hunter's crib into a toddler bed.  I think it is the first step towards potty training.  If he can't get out of his bed to use the bathroom, what's the point?!  It has actually been going well!  I am very impressed.

Ball pit is back!

Lots went on that I actually documented on my phone this week.  Sorry if it is picture over load!

Since Carl is working later now (because of school... which he is doing AMAZING in!) and Kelly's husband was out of town, we had a pizza dinner date.  The kids got to play and actually took a bath together.  Hunter seemed to enjoy it and so did Emma.  Hunter also made sure to check on "day-dee" Alyssa in her swing.

Relaxing.

He is really into holding onto his golf club in the car.  This day he actually fell asleep with it.

One of Hunter's cousins (Ryleigh) stayed with us Friday night.  He loved having a playmate around the house.  He followed her around all day.  He was very sad when "yi-yi" left the next afternoon.  I was watching videos of them after she had left and he came running over to me, "Yi-yi!! Yi-yi!!"  We might have to give him a little brother or sister soon, haha.

Taking coins out and putting them back into the piggy bank Aunt Ashley gave him for Christmas.  He loves his "pig" and always asks to play with it.

When I come home from work, I like to change into comfy pants if I know we won't be going outside or any other place.  Hunter had pink eye, so I knew we weren't going anywhere (yes, that's right, we have now had strep, parainfluenza, croup, and pink eye all within the last month and a half... my sick days are starting to dwindle away at work, haha).  Whenever I wear my sweat pants, Hunter finds the string and pulls me around the house.  It is too funny.

Sorry... it has been a crazy two weeks here.  Here are pictures from the week before last.

Hunter was bugging me for "daddy das" (Daddy's glasses).  Then he wanted to try to put his sunglasses on top.  Silly boy.

Enjoying a popsicle with Emma.

He loves this tunnel.

Making silly faces in the mirror with my baby boy.  He loves to look at himself after he gets out of the bath.

Carl sent me this picture of Hunter drinking a slurpee Thursday afternoon (the afternoon of Ralph's funeral).  I love it because it is a tribute to Ralph.

It is a rough life relaxing on Mommy while watching George on the iPad.

It has rained A LOT here the past couple of days.  Hunter has been asking to go "owside" all weekend.  Finally when the sun came through for about 30 minutes, we went out and splashed in the puddles.  He was not happy when we had to come back inside.

Not too many this week since I just posted one.

I'm not sure who we purchased the iPad for, but Hunter seems to think it is for him.  While I was getting everything ready to leave the other morning, this is how I found Hunter and Koal.

It isn't often that I take a nap when Hunter does, and it is even less often that we nap in the "big bed" together.  I took a short cat nap and got snap a picture of Hunter sleeping peacefully.

I went for a hair cut Friday after work.  While I was sitting there I decided to do something a little crazy.  Not crazy enough to be really seen when my hair is down or up (because I'm not that brave), but you can see it if I do this...

Two streaks on either side.  Not the bottom layer of my hair, but in the middle so it is hidden when it is up or down.  I'm sure it will start to fade because my hair never holds color.

It has been crazy busy and when I do have down time, I don't feel like sitting in front of my computer.  So here I am... I'm going to try to catch you up on our past two weeks (or so).

Hunter recently had strep (as I think I stated in the last post).  30 doses of EryPed (which seemed like an eternity) and little man is 100%.  The Monday after he was diagnosed, we spent the day together.  Hunter rarely EVER hangs out on the couch.  The two above pictures came from the same day.  We spent a lot of time on the couch watching T.V., snuggling, playing Memory, and singing.

Hunter loves trying to squeeze into any container he can.  After a refill on diapers, we leave the box in his room for a day or two so he can climb in and play.  He likes to stand up and say, "Whoa!  Down!" as he tips over on purpose.  Next box I plan to make some sort of wheel so he can pretend to drive.

Hunter has always really been into putting on our shoes and walking around the house.  Lately it has been any other article of clothing of ours.  He labels the item by the name of the item and then the item (after you repeat the name of the item).  Our conversation about his outfit: H- Hat. (as he pats his head) Me- Yes, it is a hat. H- Dada! Me- Yes, Daddy's hat.  H- Wa. (watch) Me- You're right, a watch. H-Dada! Me- It is Daddy's watch.

Hunter got his first Valentine's Day card from a girl (not someone from Mrs. Cathy's house).  He got this from B who is in his TLG class.  Her mom found this on Pinterest.  She melted down old, broken crayons and hardened them in a heart shaped muffin tin.  Super cute!

After his Valentine's Day party at Mrs. Cathy's house.  I'm pretty sure he was a little crazy from all the goodies he ate.  He had a great time.  I love all his little parties at her house.

Just a little fun with Sea Horse.

This cracked me up!  Hunter took his puzzle pieces and turned them upside down.  He yelled, "Roll!" and then knocked them over.  I'm not sure where he gets the idea to make things roll from.  Ha.

This past week we had a few really pretty days.  I don't think I've mentioned how crazy this winter has been!  Anyways, Hunter and I took advantage of these days by going to the park.  His new thing is to lay down in random places and say, "Night night" and pretend to sleep.  Silly boy!

His trike came it!  I must say, Carl and I were very impressed with the material for the trike.  It is nice, solid metal.  The plastic wheels are not made out of the cheap, thin (you squeeze it too hard it is going to break) plastic.  Hunter loves his bike.  Unfortunately, his legs are about 1-2 inches too short so he rests his feet on the bar.

We bought some on-the-stick-popsicles for Hunter.  The first one he didn't quite get the whole stick concept and would immediately throw it on his tray after taking a lick.  He has since learned to hold it by the stick.

Last weekend we had a play date at the park with B.  We spent 2 hours at the park.  Hunter would have stayed longer, but it was time to get home for dinner.

Last week, Hunter fell while he was at the sitter and had a nice bruise.  Then, this week, when we went to visit Carl at work for dinner, he ran into the metal door jam and got another bruise.  And that same night when we were walking to my car, he tripped and hit his head on the cement.  He had a nice set of bruises all in the same area.

Daddy picked Hunter up from Mrs. Cathy's Friday.  He sent me this picture as they were getting ready to leave.  He looks like such a little boy in this picture.  It makes me sad to think he is growing up so fast!
